We loved the food and ambiance. My husband is on a low-carb diet, so we were concerned about eating with family there. But lo and behold, Gianmarco's had two scrumptious dishes lower in calories and light on pasta: a squash manicotti and a spaghetti squash pesto. The manicotti was beautiful: thin slices of zucchini rolled around manicotti ricotta filling, covered with melted cheese and sauce, and sprinkled with fresh crisp basil. So pretty! The spaghetti squash dish was rich and flavorful. I couldn't tell they weren't made with pasta! The house Sauvignon had a very good bouquet and taste. We did cheat on the irresistible fragrant hot bread and dipping of olive oil and herbs. Our family had amazing pasta dishes that included gnocchi, a favorite or mine, and stromboli, beautifully done. I had a delicious crisp cannoli filled with yummy mascarpone and ricotta and drizzled with chocolate. My only disappointment: the espresso machine wasn't working. We hope to come back some evening when the lights in the trees are glistening and the firepit is burning to eat another meal and play bocce. The patio seating was lovely and cool even on a very warm day with overhead shade and fans. Enjoy!
